Packing support
The primary purpose of the support plates is to support the Structured / Random packing and operate the “liquid hold up” in packed beds. It serves distribution to both streams. Its optimum design must provide maximum open area and minimal pressure drop across the system. All support plates rest directly on ring support or if required can be clamped to the ring support.
For effective and efficient performance of packing, whether random or structured some more internals is needed. We are manufacturing and supplying efficient and economic internals.
Structured packing grid support
The open grid type support allows free and uniform passage of the liquid and vapour so the capacity is not limited. For smaller diameter columns the support rest on lugs. While for all other diameters rests on a 360ᴼ Support rings. Support all sheet metal or gauze packing.
Random packing multi-beam supports
Designed to support the desired packing under the specific operating conditions, while not limiting the capacity of the packing. Thus, depending upon packing size, bed weight and process conditions, the beam height, material thickness and slot size will vary. Sections are clipped and assembly is supported by the 360ᴼ support ring. For large diameter and heavy distillation columns, the support is available.
